MICROWAVE ABSORPTION

The absorption of either reflected or stray microwaves is necessary either to improve a system’s performance, during testing procedures, or to avoid health & safety problem.

Applications include antennas, anechoic chambers and laboratory test rigs for testing devices.

VITEC offers a range of broad based open structured absorbers.

• These are carbon loaded polyurethane foams (including reticulated products) or non-woven fibres. MICROSORB RANGE
• An absorption range of 1 – 40 GH 3 with a dB reduction based on customer requirements achieved by structure, conductivity control and thickness.
• Waterproofing is also available

For low reflectivity, the back of the absorber needs to be on a metal surface.
